I have just downloaded Lion onto an external hard drive , so that I can dip my toe in the water and make sure that I am happy with the new OS before completely switching from 10.6.8. as the reports have been very mixed as to how good Lion is.

Now that I have done that < I got to thinking that having to fiddle about with the external drive is a bit of a pain and was wondering if it was possible to partition the internal hard drive of my MBP so I could have the different OS's on the same internal drive and choose which one to boot into ?

If that was possible I would need a fairly big drive and was wondering if anyone had any experience of 1Tb internal drives for MBP's.

I'm not sure if that's possible, but I do know that you can get a 1TB drive. Samsung makes a 2.5" 1TB drive that will work well in your computer (WD does as well, but their prices are really high right now due to flood losses)
