I was wondering if you CTO, does it come with a 1yr. warranty right of the bat? If so, can I wait till that warranty is almost over and use my 3yr apple care?

Great! hmmm I forgot to ask this option.... Instead of waiting for the 1yr to be over, will apple add the 1 year initial care + my 3yr care = 4yr apple care? I don't want to be holding a damn applecare until the 1 yr is up..

Edit: hmm so you can only have a max. of 3yrs warranty anyway?

With configuring yourself there are limited options as you can only really buy from Apple. Sometimes stores offer there own warranties as standard but they will only have the basic models.

Where are you in the world? Depending on the consumer laws in your country AppleCare may not be so necessary. Assuming you are USA (most probable) I would say AppleCare probably is worth it.
