10.1.5 Font Change????

Ok....maybe I've missed something. I just ran the Software Update and installed a few things...like the new iPod software, Quicktime, etc. I guess I didn't run it in a while. It also installed 10.1.5. Cool.

The thing is now that the fonts on my IE 5.2 are now all different. They look ok, but it is still whacked. It seems like all the text is fuzzier. Am I nuts? I know I'm not drunk...I hope.

It looks like it is only fonts in MicroSoft apps. FileMaker Pro stuff, etc still look the same

Is there a way that I can revert to the old fonts, and/or am I just nuts.

It's text antialiasing, introduced in 10.1.5 and IE5.2.

You can adjust the settings in your General settings in System Preferences.

The only thing it looks like I can do in the General Settings area is turn off the text smoothing for fonts below the size of 12. That didn't really do it.

Some things are easier to read and a few are harder to read with this new Quartz stuff. My main concern is that...as a web designer...that I will have a tougher time designing text areas for viewing on Windows machines.
