10.10.3 Choppy and unusable: solved

Hi all, I downloaded 10.10.3 and my mac crawled to a halt. Finder kept crashing, it wouldn't accept my log in from sleep - it because unusable. So I re-installed Yosemite and now my Macbook Pro is working like a dream.
