Just migrated from iPhoto yesterday and can't get the new Photos library to show up in the desktop backgrounds section of System Preferences. I see icons for years, albums momomets etc... But nothing appears when selected. I had a group of backgrounds in iPhoto that I used and it seems now I can't. Anyone else experience this?

Do you have more than 1 Photos library? Only the "System" library will show in those places in OS X.

Short answer was yes, but I was unaware until I saw your question. Somehow when Photos converted my iPhoto library it created a new Photos library in the iPhoto folder. The system library was empty, which I guess is what caused this. Not sure how this happened as when I first opened Photos it asked if i wanted to convert iphoto and I followed the instructions. Really odd. Anyway, I' deleted both libraries and went through the conversion again and all is well now.

Thanks for your reply, otherwise I would have been lost...
