I'm not sure if this only applies to me, but I have a Harman Kardon Bluetooth Onyx studio speaker that I use all the time, and prior to 10.10.3 The way the volume worked on it was different.
Before 10.10.3 I had two separate volumes. The system volume for OS X, and the actual speaker volume. This meant that if I had the speaker quiet I could only get a range of volumes in the super quiet, to pretty quiet by changing the OS X volume via the buttons on my keyboard. I'd routinely have to change the volume on the speaker too.
Now, 10.10.3 actually adjusts the speaker volume. Now I can easily navigate the full volume range the speaker has via the buttons on my mac. Much more convenient. Also, changing the speaker volume by the buttons on the speaker also moves the slider UI on the mac now to keep them in sync.
I'm not sure if this will apply to other devices or not, but it definitely applies to the Harman/Kardon HD Onyx Studio. Very pleased!
Also the new photos app is great
