The TheLostFinderNewWindow was an SIMBL plugin that tricked the OS so when you clicked on a folder it thought you had the cmd key held down. (found in a thread on this forum) Worked perfectly up until the 10.10.4 update

FYI the TheLostFinderNewWindow is a SIMBL plugin and can be found here http://siggi.hk/index.php?action=TheLostFinderNewWindow. Developer only supports Mavericks

Anybody else using TheLostFinderNewWindow under 10.10.4 and it works?

Any other addons that do a similar thing and trick the finder into thinking you are holding the cmd key down when you click on a folder like TheLostFinderNewWindow did?

thanks
Gary

Googling around and looking various other SIMBL issues since the 10.10.4 update.

Bingo from the console log
7/13/15 3:33:26.404 PM Finder[248]: TheLostFinderNewWindow Loaded

Removed easySIMBL and installed SIMBL-0.9.9
moved SIMBL.osax to /Library/ScriptingAdditions

created a simple script to run at login that I saved off as an app
tell application "Finder"
inject SIMBL into Snow Leopard
end tell

haven't apple scripted in about 3 centuries so yet to get around requirement to have to input the user password to make the app run since it is injecting into the finder
