10.11.1 Sleep issues

I'm running an older MBP, but after updating to 10.11.1, my Mac's sleep behavior is strange.

If I close the lid, the light in the front (white led), stays on full brightness, when I open the lid, it takes a few seconds longer than I remember for the screen to come back. It's supposed to fade in and out like a heartbeat.

Also, if I shut down, it seems if I close the lid right away, I get the solid LED, as if it wasn't fully shut down yet. I tried a SMC reset, nothing.

My mid 2012 MBP still behaves in 10.11.1 like it should. I would consider making a backup, erasing the drive and reinstalling the operating system again and manually migrating my data but it might be time consuming for you. Don't use migration assistant.
