Hi

Since installing 10.11.5 Ive had to force power off my iMac due to beachballs. Apple mail will stop responding, Safari will stop responding and it seems to just screw everything up even after force quitting these programs.
I cant remember these problems as bad on previous el capitan versions.

Is anyone else experiencing random beachball problems more so since 10.11.5?

Anything I should try to fix it.

Many thanks

Check the console logs for repeated error message coinciding with the beach balls. You could also leave Activity Monitor running to see if any process CPU usage spikes when the beach ball appears.
