10.12.2 error messages with Exchange Email "The specified object was not found in the store"

Since updating to 10.12.2 I regularly get this error message when deleting emails from my inbox:

The message "Message Subject" could not be moved to the mailbox "Exchange"

The specified object was not found in the store., Cannot get ID from name.​

or

The specified object was not found in the store., The process failed to get the correct properties.​
