Macbook Pro late 2013 running 10.13.3 with NO problems updating to any of the 10.13.3 Beta's or running them.
I have tried to update 4 times to the 10.13.4 Beta 1 and again to Beta2.
Quit all running apps. ran OnyX, rebooted then did the update from the Apple Store.(Ethernet connection)

Downloads fine but when I get to about 80% (process bar) with the message 45 min left, message disappears, and 4 hr. later its still at the same point. (process bar at 80%).
1. Have stoped (turned off the the Mac) and restarted comes up at the logo screen with the same outcome.
2. Restored system from backup (10.13.3 Beta V6 and in SAFE Mode tried again to update with the same results.
3. on my last try I let the update go for 12 hr with same results. on a restart got to the logon screen and tried logging in (admin) and got the beach ball. After 30 min. still beach ball. Quit and tried logging in as Guest. This worked, so without running any programs did a restart and tried logging in again as Admin. got the Beach Ball, after another 30 - 45 min. still no change.
4. So Restored system back to 10.13.3

Looking for any suggestions on what i can try next.

My understanding (wrong as it may be) is that Onyx works at a somewhat deep level of the OS; Have you tried uninstalling it before upgrading just to take it out the mix?

TiggrToo: Thanks for the reply, When I do any OS update I always quit all running apps.
Also forgot to say that ran First Aid on the HD and cleared the NVRAM.
After the restore to 10.13.3 I sent Feedback to Apple. don't think that there would be any information in the files as the restore wipes the HD.
