its grayed out for me. Just confirming? Seems off that it would be enabled in the last iOS beta but not High Sierra.

same, it's grayed out. I tried signing out and back in, and that didn't work.

**you need to restart then it's enabled**

Thanks. It became enabled without a restart somehow. All good. Maybe my phone needed to get it kick started.

Happy it’s finally back and hopefully here to stay.

Has syncing stopped for anyone else ? I've deleted a few texts from my phone (Redbox, Dish Network, etc) but they still appear in the Messages app on my Macbook Air.

Oddly, I just deleted a single, random text from the Macbook and it did disappear on my iPhone....

Update on what I think I was seeing, and it's still happening, it appears, and that is if Messages isn't open or my MacBook Air isn't 'awake', it doesn't see the message deletion that's done on my iPhone. It also doesn't catch up once it wakes up or I open the app. Right now, I have a message from Redbox and (2) messages from Amazon on my MBA in the Messages app. They were deleted on the iPhone earlier today.

That is odd. It’s working correctly for me with my iPhone X and MBP. Have you tried unchecking and rechecking the box in preferences?

No, but I just did it now.

Again today, I deleted a few texts from my phone while my MBA was turned off (at home). On the MBA now and those texts are still in my Messages app (on macOS).

def a big issues, I had that problem and now Imessages are completely broken in my MAC, the message is greyed out to log in, says inactive on my MAC
