Ever since I installed the High Sierra 10.13.4 betas on my 2009 Mac Pro, I have had an irritating bug in the photos app.

Essentially, some images are displayed as red rectangles - either at all times or when zooming in. Not all images are affected. Live photos will scroll through their images as usual and then go red for example. Some images will display a normal thumbnail and some will display a red one. The images display perfectly well on any other device and if you export them.

I've tried repairing and rebuilding the photos library. I've tried reinstalling OS X from the combo updater and that has no effect on the content at all.

Any ideas?

The computer is a Mac Pro 2009 4,1 flashed to 5,1 and running a flashed Radeon 7950. I have the original Nvidia GTX120 and in that, the images go white instead of red. Mac OS runs from a PCIe mounted SSD.

I think there was a discussion on the official developers forum about this but I can't access the discussion :(

I'm at a losses what to do except for buying lightroom........
