I thought the EOL date was going to be in September of this year.
However I am seeing on some wikipedia articles that it is listed as November of this year with some pages saying the 30th of that month.
What is the true date support will end for 10.13?
Thanks.

AFAIK there is no official statement from Apple as there is with Microsoft. Traditionally it's been roughly 3 years, but I've not heard of anything solid from Cupertino in this regard.

Basically I think it's supported until it's not.

Notice how on Wikipedia the November date is annotated with "Citation needed"!

Yes I saw that.
I was wondering if any one here had more info on this.
Apple doesn’t publish a support roadmap. The pattern is that Apple supports the current operating system and the two previous major releases get security updates.
So, whenever the next major version is released, High Sierra will likely no longer get any updates.

I will keep my Mac Mini 2011 for one or two years (I will get the Big Sur on my MacBook) till the ARM processors go to real production and offer me another mini with this technology. (I think it will be the first ARM machine from apple).

Basically the main problem will be safari and xcode (xcode was already deprecated on this machine).

So what else do you think I am going to lose?

That is what I thought.
I wish Apple gave dates.

I was thinking the same thing. At this point I might just plan for September and either buy an new iMac / mini or get Windows 10 working so I can continue to work from home.

Using an unsupported macOS is not really a big deal. Lots of people still run Snow Leopard and El Capitan especially. With good habits like not visiting sketchy sites. Also, the modern Chrome only requires Yosemite (10.10), and the modern Firefox only requires Mavericks (10.9). So High Sierra will still have modern browser support for many more years. They wouldn't support those older OS's if no one used them. And if you prefer Safari, you're doing it wrong.

This thought that an OS is useless once Apple stops supporting it is ridiculous.

I agree with this in most cases. For me it is a work related issue. Citrix will drop support once Apple does. It happened to me with Sierra. Citrix dropped support and I had to upgrade to High Sierra.

Do you mean "Citrix Receiver"?

So what about Microsoft Office? (e.x 2019)

Yes Citrix Workspace. It lets me log into my desktop at work.

i am not worried about Office since it get it for a discount from work.

Office follows the Apple support pattern: current plus the previous 2 major versions, so 10.13.6 will lose Office support this fall as well.

So you see? It's not only the "browser". Every other serious app that you can use for work will lose support in November.

But Mac users are in a dead end right now...

i don’t mind using unsupported software and used Office 2004 for a couple of years unsupported. My issue is that Citrix Workspace is unusable on an unsupported OS. I didn’t upgrade to High Sierra until the beginning of this year when they dropped support for Sierra.

So, do you need the latest Citrix Workspace edition to work?

Yes I do when I work from home. I will most likely have a little buffer after Apple drops support based on past experience. I am trying to get my Windows 10 to work so I am not forced to have to buy soon. As many know Windows 10 sucks.
