10.14.4 - MBP 15" Laggy with 4k Display

I updated to 10.14.4 yesterday and since I did, I've noticed much more lag while using the LG 4k Display.
Everything from cursor speeds being slower to resizing windows, etc. General use is slower.

I'm using 2016 MBP 15" with LG's 4k display sold by Apple

Anyone else experiencing this? And are there any fixes out there?

Opening my laptop's display, so I am in dual display mode seems to resolve the lag. But frustrating because I like to operate with 1 display
