I'm looking for anyone else that may have a similar issues or for insight regarding my problem.

I have a 2017 4 port mac pro laptop. It was running 10.14.5 with an elgato dock and a thunderbolt and HDMI 4K monitor at 60hz for many months without a single issue. I upgraded it to 10.14.6 and now I get the problem that when i plug the dock in the thunderbolt monitor typically does not get a display. After numerous disconnects reboots and other plug pulling I will get the thunderbolt back and displaying a screen. It just takes 30 minutes of attempted fault finding. When running 10.14.6 the Systems report shows the thunderbolt monitor connected it just never wakes it up once connected.I've also tried connecting the Thunderbolt display directly into a USB-C port while the dock is connected and still I get no wake up on the thunderbolt monitor. I'm more likely to get a response if i plug the dock in on one side of the mac and the thunderbolt in on the other side of the Mac (ie. unplugged from the dock).

However, I also have a carbon copy clone of my 10.14.5 installation, and if I boot from that externally then the thunderbolt monitor appears to behave perfectly.

I'm considering rolling back to 10.14.5 and seeing if it is consistent in regards to working.

Anyone else with strange display issues with 10.14.6??
