I'm not sure what is going on. My iMac will work fine for hours then suddenly freeze up. The only way to use it again is to cold boot the machine. This has only happened since I installed Jaguar and immediately installed the 10.2.3 upgrade.

Is anyone else out there having this problem?

Try disk repair

Use the Jaguar disk 1. When the installer comes out select disk repair from the "Installer" menu. Click the disk repair tab and verify permisions. Then repair permissions. Once your done, restart and eject the disk before the machines restarts.
This has helped lots of people fix tons of problems.
