I have an external Lacie D2 250 GB drive that I used to use with my Windows system. I thought it would be wise for me to search the web prior to hooking it up to my Mac.
My Findings:
- Several people have run into Firewire problems after upgrading to 10.3.9
- Lacie has a firmware upgrade available for download
- If I read correctly, Mac OS X uses it's own driver when the drive is connected via firewire 400
My questions:
- I was planning to hook it up via Firewire 800, are there any problems with the Lacie D2 drives connected to a Mac running 10.3.9?
- Are there any FYI's that I should keep in mind when using Firewire 800 with an external Hard Drive?
Regards
