i downloaded the update but now safari will start but it won't go to any sites , other browsers like camino work ( am using now), i want my safari back! where can i re-download just Safari? link?

Do you guys happen to have the PicLens slideshow plug-in installed? An out-of-date version of that seems to be borking things up for people.

It should be in <your hard drive>/Library/InputManagers. Delete PicLens and you should be okay.

ok, i finally figured out, its because of piclens.
(/Library/InputManagers/PicLens or ~/Library/InputManagers/PicLens)
delete the folder.

Solution for New Mac OSX/Safari and PicLens

On behalf of the PicLens team, I'm writing to provide the solution to issues arising from PicLens and the recent Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update with Safari 3.0.4.

Usersr of PicLens v.1.5.14 or older are reporting a conflict with the new Mac upgrade, whereby either Safari or PicLens stops working.

The good news is that the solution is fast and simple.

1. Go to View > Remove PicLens
2. Restart Safari
3. Reinstall the new version of PicLens from our website at http://www.piclens.com.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you can now return to enjoying PicLens on your new Safari browser!

For further support, please kindly visit http://www.piclens.com/support/

Kind regards,
Alec & The PicLens Team
