will tiger receive its final update this week? or will apple leave it at .10?

10.4.10 might be the last. Then again, 10.3.9 came out well after Tiger had been released. I doubt Apple will abandon Tiger for quite some time (in fact, there are still occasional minor updates for Panther, like security updates and the like), as there will still be tons of users running Tiger for a long while (like me :) ). So if fixes are required, Apple will continue to provide them.

Several versions of 10.4.11 have been seeded to developers, so we know it's coming, but no one is exactly sure when. I guess this week, since 10.3.9 was released several days before Tiger.

Ya, I was going to say.

Macrumors has said that 10.4.11 was being tested by developers.

I am not sure, but couldn't there still be a 10.4.12, 10.4.13, etc. Doesn't Apple still support Tiger after Leopard is released for a certain period of time?

No. Once Leopard is out, Tiger development stops. Thats it.
There will likely be security updates, and possibly minor updates to individual Apple apps & utilities, but nothing for the OS itself.

10.4.11 should be out before 10.5. If it happens to come afterwards, then that would be a first for Apple, and rather unusual. But I would put that down to a one off.

Thanks for clearing that up.
