Depends Greatly On The Weather
I am getting very impatient waiting for 10.4.7 to come out, I have been expecting it for over 3 weeks now. What is keeping it. I need them to update so many things including iSync, Dashboard.

What do you need updates for?

I'd like it just because I had to repair my HD under 10.4.6, something crashed... I believe Windowserver did and I lost .45 GB of HD space... and I had to reset my PMU, well I'm guessing only the crashing process is software related, but still it's a reason to want an update.

Better Quicktime. The 7.1.1 version is somehow decreasing performance on my audio workstation :p
does it by any chance mess up 5.1 audio ??

on my powermac my 5.1 sound has gone - only stereo works fine - i assumed a fresh install was needed but not got round to yet

I am desperate for it! I want the iSync update so I can sync my new Nokia N80 mobile!

Plus I love updates, it keeps me happy, and adds a tiny bit of nerdy excitement to my day!

You guys need to relax a bit..I don't see how anyone could be "expecting" 4.7 "3 weeks ago" since Apple has never said when they would release the latest update..

If one lives by expectations one usually gets disappointed..

If you crashed & lost .45 GB of HD space, I suspect you've got a core dump file floating around somewhere. Not sure what they're typically called on Macs, but on Linux boxes they're usually named 'core' or '.core'. The other option is that the crash was caused by corrupt data becuase of a bad sector on a failing drive, but the core dump is much more likely.

For early 15" MacBook Pro users it adds the 2 finger right click functionality.

This is why I am so eager to get 10.4.7

Other than than the little Widgit update a while back, I have not noticed anything, about any update from 10.4.0 to 10.4.6

Nothing gets broken for me, nothing gets improved for me (not that I notice anyway)

The only difference I expect to see with this next update will be when I click on "about this mac" and it will say 10.4.7 instead of of 10.4.6
