10.4.8 AirPort connectivity problems (sleep, random drop)

Is anyone else experiencing problems after the 10.4.8 upgrade, where when a connection is lost to the AP it does not automatically reconnect?

I've noticed my MacBook randomly loosing connectivity while actively using the computer, and it never bothers to reconnect.

Also, after the computer has been sleeping, it will randomly decide not to reconnect.

Anyone else experiencing these issues?

I'm having a similar experience. Many times it doesn't reconnect after sleep or restart, needing to be manually re-selected.

I noticed the following error on the console whenever this problem arises.

System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Resources/airport: Error: WirelessAssociate2() = 88001006 for network......

To be honest I haven't a clue what it means, but I searched the error log on Google, and found people discussing similar problems:

Tried the fix in that forum post... no luck. I actually found one more factor involved... the laptop is on battery power.

Only problem is, there doesn't seem to be a conclusive fix there... the search continues.
