No one in the OS X forums seems to have any advice, so I figured I'd post here as well:

I'm running 10.4 on a dual g4 MDD.

After running Apple's latest updates (iTunes, Java and security update) the system wouldn't boot. It just sat at the blue screen with the loading spinning.

I re-installed 10.4 from my OEM disc over my existing install and for the most part everything seems normal.

However, every time it boots up I get an Application Launch Failure dialog. Here is what it says:

The application "Transport Monitor" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "8<Transport Monitor><Transport Monitor><HotSyncLib.PPC><>"

This dialog does not appear for a "safe mode" boot.

I also tried to run Software Update, but it hangs up while checking for updates.

Those are the only things I'm noticing, but I have no clue what they mean or how to repair them. Can anyone help?
