I bought an iMac off eBay with Tiger on it (but no disks). After using it for a bit (and loving it) I've bought a copy of Tiger off eBay so I can do a clean install. If possible - I'd love some tips to make sure I get this right.
I keep all my music & video on an external drive so that isn't an issue.
I've backed up all my system preferences, iPhoto library and documents to the external drive using iBackup. After the clean install it will have a different name and user names. Will that be an issue?
I have copies of the only pay software I use (Office & iLife) and everything else is freeware (got the .dmg files on my external).
Any other things to do / look out for? I'd be delighted for any advice.
