I would like to hook up a 10.4" XGA LCD screen to a Macbook. Yes, I understand the physical differences. The case I wish to put this in has physical limitations. There is the possibility of using an external monitor, but I would like to avoid that for the time being.

There have been some guides on here on putting much higher resolution screens into Macbook/Pro systems. I would like to go the other way. So I know that the video card will support the monitor. What I don't have a handle on is the boot sequence. Will the EFI (correct?) support this, or will I need an external display to see the boot process?

These are datasheets on a couple of LCDs in from what I believe are Macbooks.

This is the screen I'm currently interested in using.

The pins don't match up exactly, but they all appear to be there. Can anybody with experience messing with LVDS signals confirm/deny that these should work?

If not, are there any 10.4" XGA screens with datasheets around? I found pchub.com which lists some pulls, but I have not had luck finding the datasheets for the ones they have in stock.

Thanks.

So I guess this is the wrong forum for this question. Any idea where on the internets I could get this information?
