I may have found a solution. Go to Keychain Access and look for your AirPort name in the list of Keychain entries. Delete them. Reboot. Connect to the AirPort disk. Go back to Keychain Access. Look for your AirPort name again, and delete the SMB reference but leave the AFP reference. Once done, reboot, and your edits should be persistent.

I have no idea why this is happening, but for me and my roommate, at least, this allows us to connect to the AirPort disks via wireless LAN, and once set, this works even after rebooting.

The SMB Keychain entry seems to cause trouble connecting. Anyone know why that would be?
 
Nevermind. I spoke too soon, it appears. Although this survived several reboots, now, for some unknown reason, it stopped working again. This is frustrating...
