So, after upgrading to 10.5.1, Finder doesn't load, Spotlight is re-indexing, and a process named ReportCrash is taking up half of the CPU, and killing it using activity monitor or sudo just causes it to open itself back up.

Also, just after installing the update, I saw the welcome video (which I didn't see when I first upgraded to Leopard..), so I put in my info and it hung on 'Connecting to Apple...', at which case I tried to Quit, and it froze, so I had to do a hard shutdown.

How do I get Finder back, and why on earth is spotlight re-indexing?!

Edit: Finder is crashing constantly crashing.
 
I solved this problem by re-installing the update through Target Disk Mode.
