10.5.1 Update Problems

My iMac today told me there were new updates to be installed to Leopard.
The new 10.5.1 update has completely change my user account from Administrator to Standard.
My log Log In ID & Password no longer work, therefore I cant make any changes whatsoever.
I need to be able to reset the login & password.
I can't do anything, download/update graphics firmware/change configuration etc...
Anyone know what on earth is going on, and how to fix?
