Ok, so I've read most people who are having problems with the .7 update are having their Mac actually lock up. In my case, mine doesn't freeze but actually shuts down when I close the lid. So far, I've been able to isolate it to using the hibernatemode 1 setting, which puts the Mac into a deep sleep, saving battery. If I change it back to mode 0 or 3, it works fine.

Anyone else noticed this issue? I need hibernatemode 1 to work due to extended sleep periods. Thanks.

(yes, the ethernet port is on and I've tried to refresh that)

Ok, I figured it out.

If you have BootCamp installed and have it set to use the Windows partition to boot on restart, the Mac will be unable to resume OS X when awaking from a "hard' sleep (this is where the RAM gets written to HDD and system shuts down). If I switch it to restart the OS X partition, the Mac can then awake and all is well.

Makes sense that it works this way but I guess it can be overlooked.
