What happened to the news linked thread?
I was a little nervous applying this patch considering the number of issues a number of others were having but the update and reboot went without a hitch for me.
Spotlight had to rebuild its index on first boot and that took a while. Safari 4 Beta updates applied after first reboot. First Time Machine backup after the update is a bear, too. Seems like it's a monster of a job because my external HD has been chugging away for quite a few minutes now.
iTunes seems a little faster, but I can't really tell because accessing the iTunes store has always been absurdly slow for me, regardless of what kind of connection I am on.
Guess I'll count myself lucky on this update because everything just works.
