So I updated our Mac Pro Editor to 10.5.8, and now my FCP stopped working. It's 100% updated, and working fine and was prior to updating to 10.5.8. I've tried uninstalling it, re-installing it, and nothing seems to work. I would hate to re-install Leopard, but if I have to, then so be it.

Any ideas?

I don't have any backups yet, because our HDD's haven't came in yet.

Have you tired deleting the plist file for Final Cut Studio/Final Cut Pro? Try that before you reinstall Leopard.

First, go to MACINTOSH HD>USERS>HOME FOLDER>LIBRARY>PREFERENCES and locate the file that says .com.apple.FinalCutPro or .com.apple.Finalcutstudio and delete it.

Then trying relaunching FCP.
