10.5.8 Needed for latest 'iPhone 4' Update

Hey guys, my brother just bought the latest iPhone available and he's trying to restore all of his information from his old iPhone stored via iTunes onto his new iPhone from backup. The problem is, he does NOT have 10.5.8, however I DO have 5.8 on MY Mac.

Shouldn't I simply be able to create a User Profile for him so he can access iTunes with my Mac having 5.8 software? iTunes is "blank" when one creates a new User, so he should just sign-in to his iTunes account and update his phone with all his information, correct?

Help would be appreciated, thanks.

you are gonna have to transfer his backup file from his previous iphone from the old computer to your computer and then he can restore from the backup that way. Then he will get all his info/sms/contacts/pics etc on his new phone...or he can backup his old iphone on your computer then restore the backup that way.

Okay, great, how do I transfer the file from his computer to mine?

Unfortunately, his old iPhone was destroyed, thus needing the new one.
