10.5.8 update seems to have adversely affected Firefox

I have been using Firefox on my Macs for years with absolutely no issues. Last week, I upgraded to 10.5.8, and no Firefox has been running slower than normal, and seems to not work as well as before, which has forced me to have to switch between Safari and Firefox. Particularly, Youtube videos posted in web forums and Twitter don't work right at all in Firefox since I upgraded to 10.5.8. Anyone else notice this?
