Hi folks,

I've hunted high and low trying to find a straightforward guide to upgrading from Leopard to Snow Leopard and restoring my TM backup.

Now, I say "upgrading" but what I'm really looking to do is go for a clean installation of 10.6 and then restore my files as per what I need.

Has anyone here done this so far? Has anyone seen a decent online guide for this?

I'm running a final generation iMac 24" with the 1TB internal storage and a 2TB WD MyBook Studio Edition II with FW800, just for reference.

If anybody could point me in the right direction that'd be magic :D

Cheers,
Robert

I just today upgraded my mid-2007 iMac to Snow Leopard using the quick+easy method ("Upgrade") and it worked fine. In fact, it worked perfectly. I'm still scratching my head as to how painless it was, as a matter of fact. So I'm wondering why you'd even want to hassle with a clean install. This isn't Windows XP, you know ... ;)
