Hello,
after being a long time 10.4 User I finally installed 10.5 to use handbrake (old handbrake for 10.4 does not support converting DV files).
I captured a analogue video tape via iMovieHD Vers. 5. I loaded that file into Handbrake an encoded it with x.264 as mp4.
While the result with same settings looks "better" than with mepegstreamclip and another x.264 encoder, I can only play the files with QT under 10.5, not with QT or VLC under 10.4. Also my mediaplayer under my TV does not play it, as well. (While all would play mpegstreamclip x.264 mp4-files)
Also, if I record *mts files with my mediaplayer from TV, Handbrake can not read them to convert them to another format.
Is there a way to get Handbrake files usable on older systems and is there a way to convert mts files under 10.4 or 10.5?
