Here's the deal:
My old iMac has the leaking capacitors issue, and a new kit has been ordered to see if I can get that beast functioning again (it was running Leopard). In the meantime, I decided to get a newer iMac, and this one is running Lion. Now, in my excitement to fire up the new machine I just started using Mail and figured I'd port the old Mail over later. I could've imported from Time Machine as I did with all my other files, but held off (not sure why) because some mail is stuck on the Leopard machine.
I know all about moving folders, plists, etc. My question is: If I get the old machine running again I guess I can only move things over at the expense of the new files in Lion mail. So, should I move my current Lion mail over to Gmail then bring it back in after importing the Leopard mail? Or send all my Leopard mail to Gmail and then move *that* in?
(Yes yes, I'm still giving myself the forehead smack for being in a hurry and not doing this in the correct order...
)
Thanks, Mark
