No mention of 10810 Finder cure and servers very slow

I am very disappointed that there is no mention of a cure for the 10810 finder error which is crashing finder on many machines with external hard discs attached on wake from sleep.

I am downloading the combo update of 480MB to update multiple Macs. Apple obviously has not granted enough bandwidth for this download, as for me, it is running at close to dial up speeds of 14 to 15 KB/ps. My connection is fine, it is Apple throttling this download.

Downloaded pretty fast for me. I was getting around 2MB/s. For the Hack guys out there, 10.6.2 doesn't like the sleepenabler.kext. I got a panic upon reboot. Now I've got to go in and do some messing around using a backup installation. Hopefully I can get it worked out.

I'm updating my Macbook now and the download is going a lot slower than it did a few minutes ago when I tried to update my Hack. Maybe I got in just before the storm.

I cannot even begin to express how glad I am to see that second bullet point. I didn't know why my Safari was glitching when opening a new tab to see the Top Sites, but now I do. Can't wait to get home and update.

Same here.....it's like they have 1 server overloaded with the download requests.

Someone wanna kick the IT guy at Apple and have him fire up some more servers?!? :p

For the Hack guys out there, just delete sleepenabler.kext and Software Update should work fine. After I deleted it the system booted into SL with no problems. Everything seems to be working just fine.

Slow Slow Slow

This is getting silly. My combo update is now showing over 3 Days to complete the download. I have just run a speed test to make sure it was not my system. I am getting just below 2 mbps, which for a rural area is about as fast as I ever get.
