On my mac developer program it says mac os x 10.6.3 delta update and another one that says combo update.
What's the difference?

Easy google search,

There are two types of Standalone Updates: Individual and Combo.

Individual Updates update one version of Mac OS X to the subsequent version. For example, the Mac OS X 10.2.4 Update updates Mac OS X 10.2.3 to version 10.2.4. Individual Updates are also known as Delta Updates.

Combo Updates update the base version of a Mac OS X release to the version specified in the Combo Update, including all intermediate updates. For example, the Mac OS X 10.2.4 Combo Update updates:

Mac OS X 10.2 to Mac OS X 10.2.4 with one installation, as opposed to installing the individual Mac OS X 10.2.1, 10.2.2, 10.2.3, and 10.2.4 updates.
Mac OS X 10.2.2 to Mac OS X 10.2.4 without installing the individual Mac OS X 10.2.3 and Mac OS X 10.2.4 updates.
Standalone Updates are generally available 24 to 48 hours after the corresponding Update is available through Software Update.

Anybody can join the dev program and download xcode (if they don't want to install it from their OS DVD). They don't even need to know how to program. I always thought it would be interesting if these dev programs made you take a little test in order to join. ;)

Now we know why SL was so badly implemented, if these guys do not know, what chance have we got ?

The dev downloads page also has a readme text file that explains exactly what each version does.

So there IS a test! Failure to read the readme = FAIL! :D

It is nearly common sense. I don't even own a Mac and I know roughly what the difference is.

Delta means "change" or "change in ..."

It would seem that the delta update would upgrade you only from latest revision to 10.6.3.

Combo most likely goes from 10.6.0 to 10.6.3 or similar.
