Ever since I upgraded to 10.6.4 I'm often getting high CPU % - it's getting annoying. It happens while watching YouTube vids, using VMWare etc., and I've also noticed Finder frequently becomes a freakin' CPU hog, bumping the % to 100%...... Also, I think my MBP is running a couple degrees hotter in 10.6.4 too. What the hell?

Is anyone else experiencing this stuff in 10.6.4???

Try to clear your desktop from files.
The great weight of the files on your desktop can make to this.

I've actually cleared most of it..... now there are less than 1GB worth of things on my desktop but it apparently didn't help much...

I've noticed that even when I restart my MBP the fans will go wild until I reach my desktop - that's when they wind down. I'm not sure if that's due to increased CPU usage or is it just the fans problem??

Also, even in everyday tasks like browsing through pics and what not the fans will start rotating like crazy for a while....never experienced that in 10.6.3 or earlier.

What is there to do?
