I have a dual Quad core MacPro (late 2007) I have set up 2 1TB internal drives in Raid 1 as my main drive.
All works perfectly until I updated to 10.6.4 It installed and re-booted automatically and worked fine for the rest of the day. Next morning I switched on and got the grey screen with the Apple logo and it stuck there with the endless rotating bit below it. Eventually I got the black screen fatal error thing telling me to power down and re-start which just took me back to the same thing again. I did all the PRam rest stuff etc. No luck.
Still under extended warranty so I took it to my local dealer.
It booted up fine from an external drive. He downgraded back to 10.6.3 and it was all fine again.
I can't find any reference to this (bug?) anywhere on the net.
Any ideas?
