Three in-office 17" MBPs upgraded yesterday and today (including mine), and all use the Monaco font for xterm windows. The font now looks horrible! There's still a /System/Library/Fonts/Monaco.dfont file; and I noticed that 10.6.5 fixed four bugs in the Adobe Type Manager program, so I'm wondering: how/what did they change that would break this? We tried the recommended Menlo font, but it runs dashes together and just does not look as good as Monaco.

Anyone else experience font issues?

In 10.6.5 running x11, /usr/X11/bin/xterm -fa Monaco -fs 14 looks terrible (it was fine in 10.6.4). anything less than 15pt is awful, 15pt and above seems ok. Monaco looks fine in Terminal.app at any size
