I am not sure if it is only me. Since I updated the OS, Safari crashes very often. Moreover, the system is not very stable. For example, I was trying to copy several large folders from my external drive to my MBP. Before I went to bed, the system was preparing the copy. 7 hours later, it was still preparing to copy. I tried to cancel the copying but it did not work. I also could not shut down nor reboot the system. I had to force the system to shut down by pressing the power button. Worst update I ever had. Is there any way to solve the problems besides waiting for the next update? Thanks.

1. Is this Mac OS X Server 10.6.6 that you're remarking about? If not, you posted in the wrong forum.

2. After the installation, did you repair your permissions?

3. How many files were you trying to copy? What format is the drive (i.e., FAT32)? Is it a USB drive or Firewire? Was the computer still attempting to copy the files in the morning or was it frozen?
