hey, got the 10.6.8 update, installed it, and then my mac nearly died on me.
everything crashed! all apps crashed within seconds of opening, keyboard stopped working completely, menu bar was going crazy, kept loading, clearing and loading again.
couldnt do anything at all with it.
so trip to the apple store, long story short, the genius told me that "candy bar" was conflicting with the os. (used the app to change dock icons) all he could do was wipe the hdd and put 10.6.6 back on for me.
luckely for me i had complete backup, problem was, if i brought everything back, it would conflict again, so spent ages bringing back just what i needed.
hope this dont happen to any of you guys is all. (what a pain in the **** it has been for me)
