A friend just phoned me and he cannot run full screen youtube of safari.
He running 10.6.8 and his mac desktop cannot be upgraded beyond this os.

I do not know what flash player he has.

I am to take remote control via teamviewer later.

Any ideas guys?
first thing I look at is flash but again not sure 10.6.8 supported.

Just some thoughts...

He might try "Click to Flash", or "Click to Plugin".
I -think- either of those will give the option to view youtube in HTML5 instead of flash?

He might try downloading the last version of Firefox, perhaps that will work when Safari won't?

He might also try the version of the "Epic Privacy Browser".

Hello,

Not a fix, but a suggestion that may help, have you tried Minitube from the App Store? I've used it before it and it works well. It should run on 10.6.8.
