Hello hello !

I got my first imac last week with SL 10.6.6, after years with windows:rolleyes:
So i would like to know if is it a safe decision to update to 10.6.8 by the update utility? just a question because i saw many people having bugs after

Regards

I've had my first iMac for almost a week now, and I absolutely love it. Mine came with SL...with the free upgrade to Lion. Since my transition from a pc has gone so smoothly, I have decided to wait before I switch to Lion. My iMac is working so perfectly I just don't want to take the chance...

i prefer to wait too :)
meanwhile, did you update yours to 10.6.8 or still with 10.6.6?

For me, 10.6.8 is stable as it gets. I'd advise not to update to Lion just yet.

For Lion, I'm waiting for full 3+ month release. Currently, Lion is out for almost 1 month. Due to many "Lion gives my iMac box hot temps" or "Lion and flash", "Lion cannot xxxx" and "Lion has issues with wifi ( https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1210959/ ) type threads, I'll be waiting 2+ more months. Then, I might upgrade in early Nov. Might even wait until Chrismas - as a self Christmas gift. For me, I'll let others "flush out its bugs" first.
