when i drag an item to the trash from within stack, the option to "put back" is not given.

anyone else having this problem?

It's behaving the same on my computer. Hopefully Apple will offer a solution in one of the later updates.

If I go to the downloads folder and drag something to the trash, the put back is there. But if I drag it from the downloads folder (using the stacks feature) it's not. Weird.

Glad to have found this out early.

this too.

hope it gets fixed.

I've noticed that too. It has worked in the earlier dev builds of Snow Leopard.

I had that problem too- did a restart and it fixed it :)

Anyone else getting the Spotlight/Textedit bug? Use Spotlight to find Textedit- does it display as foreign text?

I just did a restart and no such solution for me. It still will not put back if you drag it specifically from within stacks. If you do it from within a finder window, everything works as it should.

I did a clean install of 10.6 and the Put Back feature is there.

We all have the put back feature. We're talking about it being there when you drag the file specifically from within stacks. Are you able to do this successfully from stacks?

I just tried it. I cannot put back if I drag from stack. It works when deleting the file in the finder.
