10.6 VPN server LCP timeout

I have set up PPTP VPN server on my 10.6 home system using iVPN.

But when I try to connect from either my iPhone or MBA, I get an timeout error from the VPN server.
LCP:timeout sending Config-Requests

The odd thing is that I can connect to the VPN from a Vista machine

The server is behind an Airport Express Base Station and I do have port 1723 forwarded to it.

Any suggestions?

I'm having pretty much exactly the same problem, except I can connect from my local network, but never from an external network. Same LCP timeout though.
