10.6: WWW site delay

Any one got any ideas? Ive done a fresh install of SL, and just about any site takes about 10-20 seconds to even start displaying stuff on the screen. Then when I run a speed test on testmy.net, I get normal speeds around 13Mbps/2

Any ideas? If I boot to my Win7 Partition, or use another machine on the network, it is solid fast. Ive rebooted the router, checked my signal, rebooted comcast modem, everything.

Something I have noticed, it seems to happen more on sites that require flash, but this could just be my imagination. My machine is more than up to the task of www surfing im sure.

It would help if you stated which browser you're using.

Safari? You've got some other plug-in crap running that won't work in 64bit mode maybe which is Safari's default now. Run it in 32bit mode (Get Info > toggle 32bit on).

Failing that, download FireFox and see if it exhibits the same behavior. That will at least eliminate your mac from this.

Yes safari. No plug-ins running at all.

I just got my 500GB hd, did a reinstall, see if it goes away.
