10.7.3 update fixed one computer superdrive but not the other

when i downloaded 10.7 it screwed up my superdrive and made it to where it would not read blank dvd's when 10.7.3 came out i downloaded it today and now my wife's superdrive(2006 imac 2.16 20") is fixed but mine(2007 imac 20") still wont read it

usually, and I mean almost never, this is not software related.

Your drive may be intermittently working. I'd try it several times and see, but I doubt it's software.

it worked fine on sl but it reads blank cd's and all other disc

i do believe it is software related because my wife's wouldn't read blank dvd's either now after the 10.7.3 update it does it also worked fine with sl
