Hi

I have downloaded 10.8 primarily for Airplay. Situation is:

1. Apple TV 3 with 5.0.2(4250)
2. Apple TV can see my Macbook Pro
3. I have checked 'Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available' in Settings/Display

But there is no icon in the menu bar?

I found a Youtube video 'OS X Mountain Lion AirPlay Mirroring How To and Hands On' that has an extra option that I don't and a slightly different option:

1. Airplay Mirroring - off/on
2. Show display options in the menu bar - automatically

What am I missing?

Thanks
John

Macbook Pro 17"

Need more detail in order to know whether it works with AirPlay. Go to the Apple Menu -> About This Mac, and click More Info… It will tell you the model in the form of MacBook Pro 17-inch Early/Mid/Late 20xx. That will be enough info to go on.

Your kidding!!! No one at the Mac store mentioned that possibility to us when we purchased Apple TV 2 months ago. Mirroring was what we wanted but we were told we would have to wait for 10.8 for it to work which we have done. Any workaround?
